In Mazovia, the activities related to assisting investors and exporters as well as business promotion of the region are conducted by the Investors and Exporters’ Service Centre (COIE), functioning within the structure of the Mazovia Development Agency Plc. The Agency is an entity established under the commercial law and its sole shareholder is the Mazovian Voivodeship. The Agency’s mission is to create and support the socio-economic development of Mazovia and to assist the development of small and medium-sized companies as well as local government units.
According to “Raport o sytuacji mikro i makro firm w roku 2013” (“Report on the situation of SMEs in 2013”) presented in 2013 by the Bank Pekao SA, the place of the first contact for Mazovian investors undertaking and conducting export activities and foreign investors interested in investing in the voivodeship is namely COIE.
One of the projects being implemented by COIE is “Sieć Centrów Obsługi Inwestorów i Eksporterów” (“The Network of Investors and Exporters’ Service Centres”). COIE also offers pro-export information service intended for exporters.
Moreover, COIE organizes information meetings for company representatives on such subjects as: creating company export strategy, documentation in the international trade, customs formalities in export and intra-Community trade, VAT in export and intra-Community trade, payment methods in transactions abroad, securing claims in transactions abroad, certification of products exported outside EU.
Mazovian investors contacting COIE can count on, e.g., receiving cooperation offers from abroad.
The Mazovia Development Agency also encourages investors to register in the Internet database, Made in Mazovia, the goal of which is to promote the Mazovian export offer. Registering in the Made in Mazovia database is free of charge. Thanks to the registration, the exporter gains both access to offers from all over the world as well as information about various types of national and foreign economic undertakings.
